DISCOVERY PROGRAM
Approximately 20% - 50% of high school students enter college as "Undecided". And, of those that enter "Decided", approximately 75% change their majors at least once before graduating.
We know that “success” looks different to everyone, and the importance of understanding your own personal values and goals. That's why we created the Discovery Program.
The Discovery Program consists of two workshops, 1) Uncovering Your Natural Talents; and 2) Understanding How Your Talents and Interest Align with College Majors and Careers. These workshops guide students through a process of self-discovery and ownership of their talents, interests and values, and helps them understand how they align to college majors and careers. Increasing self-awareness leading to successful choices in life.
UNCOVERING NATURAL TALENTS
In this workshop, individuals participate in an online assessment (StrengthsFinder) and are able to identify and understand his or her own unique combination of (Top 5) talents. By revealing the ways in which each person most naturally thinks, feels, and behaves, StrengthsFinder helps participants discover and build upon the areas in which they have the most potential to develop and succeed. They will gain an introduction to strengths based development, and after completion of this workshop, they will learn how to lead a strengths based life.

UNDERSTANDING HOW YOUR INTERESTS ALIGN With COLLEGE Majors AND/OR CAREERS
In this workshop, each individual will participate in an online assessment (Strong Interest Inventory). Whether considering education options for career preparation or looking into career choices or just starting out in a new career or changing careers, they will benefit from the wealth of information provided from this workshop. After completion of this workshop, they will have identified key focus areas for continued education and / or career growth.
